being a part of the community that we exist in and giving back to the community are two values that are important to both kushi farm and the north hadley chili pepper company. Adding value to the lives of others and to our community is what led us to create the matthew kushi business and entrepreneurship scholarship. currently, this is available for graduating seniors from hopkins academy in hadley. we are hoping to have a general scholarship in the future for all residents.
Funded by Matthew Kushi (Hopkins Academy, Class of 2006) through Kushi Farm and the North Hadley Chili Pepper Company, this $500 award will be awarded to a graduating student who has been a dedicated student in their pursuit of educational knowledge and who has demonstrated a commitment to bettering and serving their community through extracurricular activities – at home or in the community. The scholarship will be awarded to that student who seeks to further themselves through an entrepreneurial endeavor and/or further their education towards that goal through higher education coursework in a business related field.
